Submission of Dissertation/Thesis

Information for submitting the dissertation/thesis to the BU and sending the confirmation “ticket” to PPGEC:

  1. Meet the deadline set by the committee (30, 60 or 90 days for a master’s degree / 30, 60 or 90 days for a doctorate)
    ATTENTION: according to Art. 7, §6, of RN 46/CPG/2019, the University Library has up to 15 business days to approve the deposit, therefore, deduct 15 days from your final delivery deadline.
  2. Check the title of the dissertation/thesis in your transcript (CAPG), and report any inconsistencies to the PPGEC Secretariat.
  3. Follow the NEW recommendations for submitting the dissertation/thesis required by BU/UFSC
  4. Check that your advisor has the Digital Certification required by BU/UFSC
  5. ALL students, regardless of whether they were scholarship holders or not, must include a mention of CAPES in their acknowledgements, including the text indicated in CAPES Ordinance No. 206, dated 09/04/2018:
    “This study was financed in part by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – Brasil (CAPES) – Finance Code 001″ or if the text is in Portuguese “O presente trabalho foi realizado com apoio da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – Brasil (CAPES) – Código de Financiamento 001 “
  6. With the dissertation/thesis ready in a single file and in PDF/A, the student will upload the file to ASSINAUFSC so that the supervisor can sign it.
  7. Flow for collecting signatures:

    a) Student must upload the file to AssinaUFSC;

    b) The student must send the sharing link to the advisor, recording the request to the advisor in the forwarding email so that, after signing, forward the same link to ppgec@contato.ufsc.br recording the following information:  the final version of the work meets the modifications requested by the board and that the title of the TCC coincides with that defined in the defense minutes.;

    c) The student must check whether the advisor signed and forwarded the email to the PPGEC Coordination – contact him/her and make sure of this;

    d) The student must verify that the Coordinator has signed by accessing the sharing link, downloading the version with both signatures, and proceeding according to the next steps to finalize the deposit.

  8. The deposit of the dissertation/thesis is the responsibility of the student via the Institutional Service Portal (PAI) of the University Library.
  9. After submitting the dissertation/thesis, BU will send an email confirming the deposit of the file. Please note that this response may take up to 15 days, and the deadline determined by the board will not be extended.
  10. For the PPGEC Secretariat, it will be necessary to forward the BU email (“ticket”) with approval of the dissertation/thesis, and also the dissertation/thesis file with all signatures.
