Enrollment in Isolated Subject
Want to take a master’s or doctoral course but cannot or do not wish to formally enroll in the program yet? It’s possible! Just follow the steps below.

📝 How to apply?
🔹 STEP 1 – Contact the professor (within the cronograma deadline)

Choose the course(s) you’re interested in

Send an email to the responsible professor including:
-
A brief introduction (your academic background and where you graduated from)
-
Your availability to attend classes in person or in a hybrid format
-
The Isolated Course Application Form attached (one per course)
-

Ask them to sign and return the form to you by email within the STEP 2 deadline
⚠️ Important: acceptance is not guaranteed. Professors may not be accepting students in this modality in some trimesters.
🔹 STEP 2 – Official registration (within the cronograma deadline)
Only if you have the form signed by the professor!

Click on “Desejo realizar minha inscrição” (I want to register)

Select:

Program: Engenharia Civil (Civil Engineering)
-
Level: Mestrado (Master’s) or Doutorado (Doctorate)
-
Process: “Matrícula Disciplina Isolada_[trimester/year]” (only appears during the deadline)

Fill in all required fields
-
If the desired course doesn’t appear in the area/research line options, don’t worry: the correct identification will be made through the signed forms
-

At the end, save your registration form as a PDF

a) ID document (front and back)

b) CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID)

c) Undergraduate transcript (for Master’s) or Master’s transcript (for Doctorate)

d) Isolated Course Application Form signed by the professor (if applying for multiple courses, send all forms together)
❌ Photos or documents with poor image quality will not be accepted.
✅ After registration

If your documentation is complete, you will receive confirmation by email and be added to the attendance list

Start attending classes from the first day (check the location and time on the Schedule page)

The Enrollment Certificate can be issued by yourself through the CAPG System
-
Upon completing the course, with minimum attendance and a grade ≥ 7.0, you will be entitled to a course completion certificate
ℹ️ Other important information

✅ Registration and attendance are free
-
✅ Spots are limited – determined by the responsible professor
-
✅ Courses are valid for both Master’s and Doctoral programs (except for a few exclusive Doctoral courses)

✅ Classes are held Monday through Friday, in the morning and afternoon, with occasional extended hours
-
✅ Each course lasts 1 trimester (about 12 weeks)
